Fees & Policies

For first time clients, I offer an initial 15 minute free consultation. Call me or text me at +1-415-7133338 and lets make a time to speak and see if we are a potential match. I am happy to tell you more about how I work and what us working together might look like in your specific situation. The consultation can be on the phone or over FaceTime or Skype – sometimes being able to see each other’s faces can give a better sense of the connection. Looking forward hearing from you!

My fee is $155 and for certain cases I do offer a sliding scale from $155 to $110. On Nov 27th 2017 my fee goes up to $175

I also offer packages- for a package of 5 session, the fee per session goes down to $145 per session ($10 less than the regular price) , and for a package of 10 sessions to $135 per session.
I expect clients to pay my usual fee ($155) unless they really feel that this is not affordable for them, in which case we can talk about my sliding scale.

My cancellation policy is 48 hours in advance. Clients are financially responsible for sessions, cancelled in less then 48 hours before the session time. In some cases I can make an exception, if the session gets rescheduled for a time within the same calendar week.

WILL MY INSURANCE PAY FOR MY SESSIONS? Although I am not a member of any insurance networks some plans will reimburse for my services. You may want to check with yours to see if they will cover individual psychotherapy with a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist of your choice. I request payment at each session, but I am happy to prepare a monthly statement for you to submit to your insurance company. There are a diverse array of insurance arrangements. The first thing you should do is check with your insurance carrier.

Check your coverage carefully and find the answers to the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
  • How much do you pay for an out-of-net provider?
  • Is there a limitation on how much you will pay per session?
  • Is primary care physician approval required?
